At Northbourne, we are lucky to have an active, committed and hardworking Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). We always welcome new members – all parents of children in the school are automatically members of the PTA and we love to see new faces – to contribute ideas, make suggestions, or help with planning and running our events. Our newsletter contains the dates of our meetings; please come along and join us for a coffee and chat to find out more.
We would value any offers of help for any of these events; please speak to one of the committee members to find out more, and remember to make a note of the events above in your diary so you can come along and join in the fun.
The work of the PTA in raising much needed funds for school is becoming more and more vital. Last year, you all helped to raise a phenomenal amount of money, which is already being put to good use. This term, we have taken delivery of 30 new laptops and a storage / charging trolley which we are currently setting up using £9k of the funds raised; in addition, the PTA are funding a top up of the sandpit in the Early Years area (£500) and contributing £4k to help us stock up our library and reading scheme. These projects are so crucial in ensuring our provision is as good as we can make it, but would not currently be possible without your generosity and support.
